KANAZ HOUSE OF CULTURE

Located on Azatutyan Avenue. It served as the cultural center (club) of the Kanaker aluminum factory (Канакерский алюминиевый завод — KANAZ).

The building is four stories high and has an almost rectangular floor plan. Along the main axis are arranged the entrance hall with staircases in the corners, as well as a 600-seat auditorium with a stage and balconies. To the left of the auditorium is an arched open summer promenade hall, while to the right, on the fourth floor, are the club rooms.

The main façade of the building is designed as a decorative arcade formed by columns and capitals. On both sides of the arcade are sculptures of a worker and a collective farm woman (sculptor: Grigor Badalyan). The façade is crowned with a pediment featuring a dentil cornice.

The building material is Armavir tuff. Both the exterior and interior feature combinations of pink, light orange, brown, and dark red colors.

The building was constructed using elements of national Armenian architecture.
