The Composers' Union of Armenia was established in 1932, the building was built in 1955.
The compositional solution stems from the peculiarities of the site and expresses the spatial position of the building. A staircase leads to the building from Saryan Street, from the Demirchyan Street side it is located at a lower level than the passage. External two-step staircases lead to the side entrances. On the side of Pushkin Street, the semicircular section protruding from the general area of the structure ends with a rotunda, from which a beautiful panorama of the city opens.
The administrative part of the Composers' Union is located on the first and second floors of the central part of the building, and the 200-seat hall is located on the third floor. In the side wings are residential rooms (two four-story sections with 2-3-room apartments). The residential rooms facing Pushkin Street have balconies with columns.
The building is made of stone, with a midis arrangement, reinforced concrete was used. The facades are faced with orange Ani tuff and partially plastered. Elements of national architecture were used in their decoration.
One of the important public buildings of the city is the building of the Composers' Union, where an attempt was made to combine the administrative and residential parts.
