RESIDENTIAL HOUSE

The house is located at 15 Tigran Mets Avenue (formerly Old Barracks, then October Avenue).
It is two stories high with a basement. The main building has an almost П-shaped plan, and the wings have unequal sizes and are very short. The hall built on the courtyard side brings the overall plan closer to a rectangle. Each apartment has a dual orientation - to the west (Tigran Mets Ave.) and to the east (inner courtyard). On the courtyard side, one-story structures adjoin the main building. The artistic and architectural solution of the main western facade is laconic. Simple geometric lines characterize it - rectangular windows, rectangular niches under the windows and horizontal belts, a simple cornice, and walls treated with roughly hewn stone. The middle part of the wall is emphasized in the facade composition. Approximately in the center is a semi-circular arched opening of the passage leading to the mansion's courtyard, reinforced with a cornice and modillions. To the right and left of the passage are symmetrical, identical, semi-circular arched entrance openings that directly connect the apartments to the avenue.
The structural system features load-bearing stone
walls with medium masonry. On the street-facing facade, Yerevan-processed black
tuff is used.
The apartment ceilings are flat, with wooden beams.
The roof is sloped and made of tin.
