The statue of Aram Manukyan, the founding father of the first republic of Armenia, was installed in 2018, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first republic of Armenia. Aram Manukyan was a statesman, a public figure, the founder of the newest Armenian statehood, the minister of internal affairs, he led the self-defense of Van, he was the governor of Van, a member of the RA government, the dictator of Yerevan province. He was defined as a realistic and circumspect statesman with exceptional organizational skills and unbreakable will, who led a modest life and had the greatest responsibility for the fate of his people.
