National Painter of the ArmSSR Hripsime Simonyan (Kars, 1916 – Yerevan, 1998) authored this sculpture, which is dedicated to her favorite topic – motherhood.
Founding the Armenian monument pottery, Simonyan was also an innovational creator.
The sculpture was taken off of Donara, Simonyan’s daughter-in-law. Next to her is Gevorg, her grandson, and Arevik, her granddaughter, sitting like a bird on the left arm of her mother.
The sculpture is partially damaged under the influences of the environment.
