The monument to the Ukrainian poet,
artist, painter and ethnographer Taras Shevchenko is located in the center of
Yerevan, in the Ring Park. The opening of the monument took place in 2013, on
the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Ukraine's independence and the
centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Ukrainian
People's Republic and the First Republic of Armenia.
