The decorative statue is installed in the Circular Park, next to Alek Manukyan Street. The author is the Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR, sculptor, and theatrical decorator Stepan Taryan (Stepan Tarkhararyan, 1899-1954).
The plaster model was created in the 1930s on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of sculptor Stepan Taryan. The sculpture was cast by the sculptor's children, Suren and Anna Taryans. The solemn ceremony of the opening of the monument took place on July 29, 2000. It is made of bronze, the pedestal is made of granite, and it is 1.8 meters high.
