“Yerevan Ballet Fest” as a new symbol of the city’s culture
The flamboyant ballet atmosphere was reigning in Yerevan for four days. On the last day of Yerevan Ballet Fest, Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre after Z.Paliashvili was on stage to perform classical and neoclassical ballet episodes.
“Yerevan Ballet Fest” has been initiated and accomplished by Yerevan Municipality in collaboration with the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A.Spendiaryan.
This year the festival brought together more than 40 thousand spectators. The festival has become a real cultural firework in Yerevan which will grow into an annual tradition: next year new famous names will be hosted in our hospitable city.

2019
On May 10, Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park was opened. The park is a gift from Mikayel and Karen Vardanyan on the 2800th anniversary of the foundation of Yerevan city.
1958
The construction of a complex of buildings in Lenin Square (architects Alexander Tamanyan, Rafo Israelyan) and the Matenadaran repository for ancient manuscripts (architect Mark Grigoryan) which rose above Lenin Avenue (present-day Mashtots) was completed.
