Lusine Zakaryan House-Museum
The Lusine Zakaryan House-Museum is a center for Armenian spiritual music.
The
museum dedicated to the Armenian singer, performer of Komitas, Armenian
spiritual songs and tales, Lusine Zakaryan, opened in Yerevan on June 1, 2019,
on the singer’s 82nd birthday. The apartment is furnished in the same way that
Lusine Zakaryan once lived with her husband, philologist, hymnologist, teacher,
ritual expert and singer Khoren Palyan.
The
museum displays personal belongings, documents and notes, letters, a library, furniture
and household items of Lusine Zakaryan and her husband Khoren Palyan.
In
addition to the memorial hall, the museum also has a hall for organizing
chamber concerts and meetings.
