The monument-monument
to the innocent victims of the Yezdi people was erected in 2015.
The height of the
monument is 4 meters. The pedestal is inscribed in Armenian and Yezidi: “In
memory of the innocent victims of the Yezdi people in 1915.” This is the first
monument dedicated to the innocent victims of the Yezdi people in the world.
The monument is dedicated to the memory of the innocent victims of the Yezdi
people during the Armenian Genocide committed by the Ottoman Empire at the
beginning of the 20th century. The monument also has a fountain in memory of
the victims of the genocide committed against the Yezdi people in Northern
Iraq.
