Armenia continues to gain popularity among Italian travelers. In 2025, the country welcomed 22,669 visitors from Italy, recording a 40.7% increase compared to 2024.
The growth was supported by improved direct flight connections with Yerevan and growing interest in Armenia’s unique combination of cultural heritage, nature, outdoor activities, and gastronomy.
Yerevan is now easily accessible from Italy through direct flights operated by Wizz Air from Milan, Venice, Rome, Naples, and Bari, as well as FlyOne Armenia from Bergamo and Rome, making Armenia an attractive destination for both longer holidays and short city breaks.
From UNESCO-listed landmarks such as Geghard Monastery and the Upper Azat Valley to the breathtaking Tatev Monastery, Armenia offers unforgettable cultural experiences. The country’s hiking trails, wine traditions, and authentic cuisine continue to attract travelers seeking meaningful and diverse experiences.
“This strong growth of the Italian market highlights Armenia’s growing recognition as a destination offering engaging, authentic, and diverse travel experiences,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality, Armenia is becoming an increasingly popular choice for Italian travelers.
